Bahrain Grand Prix

A Bit of Background:

There may be a feeling of déjà vu when the cars line up on the starting grid for the 2021 season opener. Just three months have passed since F1 last visited The Bahrain International Circuit, with the 33-island archipelago kingdom hosting the penultimate rounds of the revised 2020 Championship.

Two very different circuit layouts were used on those consecutive weekends, the ‘traditional’ Grand Prix circuit, with its tight and twisting in-field section, whist the inaugural Sakhir Grand Prix made use of the shorter and faster outer loop. Both races delivered edge-of-the seat drama and fans can expect more of the same as we head back to Bahrain for the start of the season.

What Makes Bahrain Unique:

The desert location provides plenty of challenges for teams and drivers. High winds, sand and fluctuating temperatures between day and night sessions make car set-up particularly tricky. Racing under the floodlights only adds to the atmosphere where racing is close and battles frequent.
