Roy Nissany gained a strong motorsport interest at a young age and started driving go-karts professionally at the age of six. After a successful karting career, Roy stepped up to Formula BMW Junior in 2010, where he scored victory from starting tenth on the grid, at the legendary Monza circuit.

From 2011 to 2012, Roy raced in the ADAC Formula Masters, scoring multiple podiums which helped prove his potential and secure a seat in the FIA Formula 3 Championship. During his time racing in Formula 3, he obtained top ten finishes, which led to his first test in a Formula One car, with the Sauber F1 Team.

In 2015, Roy began racing in the World Series 3.5, starting there for three full season and collecting trophies year in, year out.

In 2018, he began his FIA Formula 2 Championship campaign, obtaining two top ten finishes. An unexpected training injury, at the start of 2019, led to a short break of racing for rehabilitation. In 2020 Roy returned to race in FIA Formula 2, alongside his Williams Racing Driver Academy commitments.

Roy continues to race in Formula 2 in 2021, this time for DAMS whilst conducting his duties for Williams as the team’s Test Driver.
