A Bit of Background:

Brazil has had its fair share of champions through the years. Fittipaldi, Piquet and Senna, to name a few. It’s therefore understandable to see why the Brazilian fans are so passionate about the sport and turn out in their droves at the Interlagos circuit each year.

The pre-war circuit also has a dramatic layout. The 4.3km layout has been carved into the hillside and although it was originally a full oval circuit, an undulating in-field section now provides some of the best wheel-to-wheel action of the season.  

What Makes Interlagos Unique:

The weather can often have a big impact on proceedings, with short and sudden tropical downpours common and a quick-drying track often mixing up the order. You’ll often see mini ‘rivers’ forming in specific sections of the track, as rainwater drains from the upper levels down the steep hillside.
