British Grand Prix
A Bit of Background:
Where to start… This is the original home of Formula One, hosting the inaugural Formula One World Championship round on 13 May 1950 and has since become a mecca of motorsport for race fans around the globe.
Originally an RAF airfield during the second world war, Silverstone has undergone a few face lifts over the years, but it has always remained a fast and flowing circuit that puts man and machine to the test. The Maggotts, Becketts and Abbey sequence is a firm driver favourite and challenge many savour each year.
What Makes Silverstone Unique:
The fans. You can always guarantee a large crowd at Silverstone, regardless of what the British weather has in mind. The campsites in the surrounding fields are full as far as the eye can see, whilst every grandstand and general access area is adorned with flags of support for the full array of teams and drivers. Silverstone is just a special place to be on a race weekend.
