Turkish Grand Prix
A Bit of Background:
Turkey wasn’t originally meant to feature on the 2020 or 2021 F1 calendars, but the Intercity Istanbul Park will once again host the final European round of the season, due in part to calendar switches and date changes as a result of COVID-19.
But we couldn’t be happier to return!
The 2020 race threw up an exciting race in some wet and challenging conditions, partly caused by a new track surface and low-grip levels. We’re hoping for an equally action-packed race in this year!
What makes Istanbul Unique:
It’s undoubtedly one of the finest Hermann Tilke-designed race tracks you’ll find, with sections of the circuit likened to parts of Spa-Francorchamps, Interlagos and Laguna Seca. Turn 8 is a particular highlight for the drivers - a fast downhill left-hander that tests both man an machine to the absolute limit.
