Monaco Grand Prix
A Bit of Background:
Glitz and glamour are the buzz words around one of Formula One’s most prestigious events, and it’s clear to see why. Amidst the super-yachts, 5* hotels and designer fashion boutiques, race fans can rub shoulders with celebrities and royalty at one of the busiest races of the season.
Formula One will return to the Monegasque Principality in 2021, following its cancellation last season amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. It was the first time the unofficial ‘Blue Ribband’ event hadn’t formed part of an F1 season since 1955. We’re certainly glad to see it back!
What Makes Monaco Unique:
Everything! Quite simply, there isn’t another race on the calendar like Monaco. The circuit has remained largely identical to the first championship round held in 1950, so throwing a modern-day Formula One car around the same tight and twisty streets is certainly a spectacle to behold. This is an unforgiving track, where drivers will have their nerve and senses tested for the full duration of a race. Safety cars are a regular occurrence and overtaking is reserved for only the bravest.
